It was the local pub owner who asked Sven and Patrick to organise a gig at the Sylvester Party 1995. It ended out to a big succes, cause from that point they were asked frequently to play in pubs and at party's.
At one of these gigs both had to much Tequila, so the bands' name was born : "Les Tekielas". Sven and Patrick both had a history of playing in several rock bands in the area.
The repertoire of Les Tekielas goes from rock and pop to flemish songs, music from bands like Oasis, Coldplay, Radiohead, Snowpatrol, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Crowded House, Pink Floyd, REM, Clouseau and many others .
In 1999 the band stopped there activities untill they returned to the stage in 2003.
Les Tekielas only uses two acoustic guitars and two voices and are capable to adjust the playlist according to the public. |
